e-Learning
My developed courses address the needs of each company. The learners will not only acquire new knowledge, but more importantly, they will practice their skills inside an environment where consequences are minimal. With practical assessments that use real-world scenarios, the learners will be ready to tackle their job requirements with confidence.
Let's get those employees the practice they need!

Audience: This training is intended for home health aides and nurses.
Business Problem/Goal: The home health agency was getting negative reviews online due to the employees skipping steps during an enteral G-tube feed using an Infinity Pump and was looking to improve their online presence.
Solution: This course trains the employees how to use the infinity pump equipment. While some of the nurses may have learned previously, this refresher of the basics helped bridge the gap if they forgot or were skipping crucial steps in the process. The course allows practical, real-world opportunities to practice and use the pump before entering homes of the patients. I also made a Job Aid that the employees may keep right in their name tag sleeve so it is with them right when they need it.
Evaluation:
Level 2: knowledge checks & graded scenario assessment
Level 3: surveys and interviews with patient families as well as examining new online ratings and reviews

Audience: This training is intended for new hires in an office setting.
Business Problem/Goal: New hires were coming into the company with different ideas of what professionalism looks like. The company was looking to lessen negative feedback given to employees at their 3-month evaluation.
Solution: We created an onboarding series for all new hires. This sample is part three in the office professionalism series. It allows new hires to start off on the right foot. The course covers the professional standards of communication while working in their offices as well as appropriate non-verbal communication and active listening. The course also provides scenarios to practice these skills.
Evaluation:
Level 2: knowledge checks & graded scenario-based assessment
Level 3: managers observe the new hires about 3 months after employment to assess professionalism and meet with the new employee to discuss

Audience: This training is intended for pet store employees who assist customers in purchasing guinea pigs.
Business Problem/Goal: The customers were buying guinea pigs but then returning them after being surprised by money, supply, and care needs. The pet store wanted to reduce the number of returned guinea pigs. The employees needed better training on how to help customers be more prepared to take guinea pigs home.
Solution: This interactive training was created for the employees to train them on which topics to cover with new guinea pig owners BEFORE these customers leave the store with purchased guinea pigs. It also allows them to practice how to answer possible customer questions.
Evaluation:
Level 2: knowledge checks, practice scenario, graded scenario-based assessment
Level 3: surveys are given to new guinea pig owners to check if they felt prepared and data for returned guinea pigs is analyzed

Analyze the Audience and Problem:
I conduct a needs-analysis to find out the root cause of any issue. Once we determine the cause, I determine which type of training will be the most beneficial and we discuss at a kick-off meeting.
Design the Course:
I create a design doc first and share with all stakeholders. This short document is an overview of course goals and topics. Next a storyboard is created. This longer document contains ALL course details and is again shared with all stakeholders. Both of these documents guarantee that everyone is on the same page. While designing, I take special care to make it practical with real-world scenarios.
Develop the Course:
I create the course following the detailed storyboard. I submit the course for reviews and feedback several times along the way.
Implement:
We roll out the course to the employees.
Evaluate the Success:
I evaluate based on Kirkpatrick's levels 2 and 3. I make sure the learners actually learned the material and skill by giving knowledge checks and a final graded assessment in the courses. I then follow that up and check for actual behavior change on the job.
